Letting Go - And Starting Anew

Due to the avalanche of developments taking place in the world today, if you don't take the time for reflection, confusion will set in rather quickly and you'll be tossed on a sea of hopelessness. Therefore, this post is a bit more philosophical than the others.

It's time for letting go and starting anew. Why? Because conditions have altered so drastically, especially in the past few years, that we have no other choice but to make concrete life changing decisions whether we want to or not. Of course, this also includes your work preferences.

Will you continue freelancing or search for a regular 9 to 5 job? If you WFH (work from home) for a company as a 9-to-fiver, will your company continue their WFH policy or will you be obliged to return to a brick-and-mortar cubicle? Are you prepared for such a change?

With inflation and huge price increases how much more money do you need to pay your bills? What modifications are you making to your freelance work demands? Are you asking for more money? Are you afraid of GPT-3? What about AI?

Whether you are freelancing as a writer, graphic designer, web designer, etc., are you worried that you will be out of a job? Times are challenging for sure but there's nothing to fear and here's why!

You don't have to agree to everything that's happening around you. Choose those things that work for you and create an environment that will enriche you regardless of what's taking place anywhere else. And though the digital age has its advantages, it also threatens us in many ways as well. Thankfully digitalization cannot substitute for the beauty, spontaneity, and creativeness of the human spirit.

You can be rest assured that regardless of whatever is proposed to be the "next new age" the trajectory of humankind is one of upliftment not disorder. In spite of the fact that disorder appears to be everywhere, order will ensue because that's simply the way of nature. The trick is to get through the disorder until nature brings us back to purposefulness without losing reverence. Keep you chin up!

This is a time of letting go of negativity and bad habits that get in the way of you creating a happy life. As the saying goes "happiness is not a destination it's a way of life."
